Arts for Earth Show at Pillar Arts October, 2025

Prospectus

Here is information on submitting artwork for the Arts for Earth show at Pillar Arts in Bloomington, IN from October 2 through 26, 2025.
 
  1. The Art for Earth show will take place at Pillar Arts Alliance Center in the College Mall from October 2 through October 26.
  2. You may keep up to 50% of the listed price if sold.  (You may keep less if you decide to donate more.)
  3. Remember to include the gallery commission in the price you submit – see info below.
  4. You may pick the registered environmental nonprofit your art will benefit if sold.   
  5. Art does not need to have a climate message. We appreciate all donations.
  6. Pillar Arts Alliance Center receives 25% commission.  You pledge to give 25 – 75% of the listed price to the environmental nonprofit you have chosen, and to provide Art for Earth Bloomington with confirmation for its records. For example, you could email a copy of the thank you from the environmental nonprofit.  
  7. You may submit multiple pieces, but we may be limited by space.  We are showing original artwork including photography pieces, but you may also sell prints of your work. 
  8. Wire hangers are required, in order to be compatible with the hanging system in the Arts Alliance Center.
  9. We kindly ask that artwork be presented in a ready-to-display format (framed or otherwise attractively finished) so it reflects the quality and care of the event.
  10. Drop-off will be Wed Oct 1 (Time TBA)  at Pillar Art Alliance in the College Mall. If needed, by prior arrangement, you can drop off your art on an earlier date at the home studio of Christine Missik (Art for Earth’s organizer) near the mall by contacting her at ArtforEarthBloom@gmail.com.
  11. Reception will be Sun Oct 5, 3-5 pm at Pillar Art Alliance in the College Mall.
  12. Pick up will be Monday Oct 27th, at the Arts Alliance Center. Time TBA.

If you plan to show any art, contact Christine by emailing at ArtforEarthBloom@gmail.com.  She will gather information for the gallery tags, your contact info for if your art sells, and that you agree with the pledge (#5 above). Thanks!
