Man looking at art

Artists for Climate Awareness and Art for Earth Bloomington are teaming up for a winter fundraiser at Bloomington Fine Art Supply, offering original art and prints to support ACA’s mission. We’re inviting artists to contribute original works and prints for sale in this show— where your creativity can be a force for change.

Prospectus

  • Art will be in the Bloomington Fine Art Supply gallery area from December 3 through January 30.
  • Artists will be asked to donate 100% of their work to the cause. Proceeds will go to Artists for Climate Awareness (ACA).
  • Artists may retrieve their work after the show; However, if it doesn’t sell, they need to do so within two weeks or make other arrangements.
  • Artists may contribute original work, cards, and prints. All must be 2-D.
  • Artists for Climate Awareness (ACA), Art for Earth (AfE), and Bloomington Fine Art Supply (BFAS) will provide fixtures for cards and prints.
  • You may bring your business cards for display during the show. There will be racks provided for them.
  • Original and prints can be framed, but it’s optional. However, we kindly ask that artwork be presented in a manner that represents the quality and care of the event. Watercolors should at least be matted and backed, and works on canvas should at least have the canvas edges finished. (Example pictures to be provided.)
  • Hanging art will be affixed to a wire hanging system in BFAS. For canvas-backed or framed work, a hanging wire on the back is required. This makes it compatible with the hanging system. Please reach out if you are looking for creative ways to hang your piece. We’ll figure it out.
  • BFAS will handle all sales and sales tax.

Art for Earth has a large supply of pre-owned frames available to help with their art sales.  You can inquire at ArtforEarthBloom@gmail.com.

Timeline

  • Installation December 3; deinstallation will be January 30
  • Art will be collected by Christine Missik, founder of Art for Earth, beginning around October 15. Dropoff will be at her home studio, located near College Mall. We’ll give the address to anyone who is going to donate a piece.
