”Human | Nature” Art Exhibition – Louisville

Exploring artists who bring sustainability into their practice in medium, method, and theme.
Sponsored by Louisville Visual Art and Uniting Artists and Scientists for Climate Action (UASCA), an Artists for Climate Awareness collaborative project, “Human I Nature” investigates the intersection of art, science, and climate ecology and the impact of humans on the natural world.
National and local artists include: Jill Pelto from Bellingham, WA whose work focuses on glacial decline while portraying the majestic Cascade Mountains; Jim Weaver’s poignant work on the effects of wildfires; Devon Horton’s thoughtful paintings on flooding impacts; David Young’s impressive murals on climate change.
Several local artists will be joining the event. The Carla Gover Band will provide creative music, supporting environmental, climate, and social justice objectives. She has toured for nearly three decades, performing at such prestigious venues as the Glasgow Royal Hall, MerleFest, and The Kennedy Center.
Opening reception 4-7 PM
