SUMMARY:ACA Member Gallery Show - Depictions: Earth\, Life\, and Our Shared Responsibility
DESCRIPTION:See the Artwork in a Slideshow\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Artists for Climate Awareness members from across the US\, along with Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington members\, are showing 2-D and 3-D artwork in a gallery exhibition April 4 – 28 at the Arts Alliance Center in the College Mall in Bloomington\, IN. \nWe are proud to be offering this juried exhibition during Earth Month\, and we anticipate exceptional patronage during that time. Bloomington is the hot spot for viewing the 2024 total solar eclipse\, and we expect a tremendous influx of tourists to be in town\, especially around April 8th. (https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/indiana-2024-eclipse)  \nArtwork is in both 2-D and 3-D mediums. \nArtwork will be juried for impact. This means that artists may have created any style of artwork\, from representational to abstract\, and can include lovely “prayer for preservation” pieces to catastrophic “call to action” artwork. Each artist has written a brief paragraph that is educational and explains how the piece communicates an ecological message– emotional\, informational\, or educational. \nWe are coordinating several climate awareness events related to this exhibition\, including: \n\na reception on April 12 at 6 pm\, featuring environmentally themed new music\, “Ceremony for Earth: A Meditative Installation for Re-connection and Healing\,” performed by Grace McKenzie\, IU Jacobs School of Music\na pastel workshop by nature artist Avon Waters\na climate-themed poetry and dance performance entitled “Stormwash: Climate Awareness” by Bloomington Writers Guild and Windfall Dancers\, Inc.\n\nThis event is enhanced by generous support from  \nView the prospectus and timeline here. \n			\n				Upcoming Workshops and Events
